Goodwill Receives Grant from Heart of Illinois United Way
The Heart of Illinois United Way has awarded Goodwill of Central Illinois three grants from the Community Impact Fund. The grants cover digital skills training, employment services, and youth mentoring.
“Heart of Illinois United Way has once again demonstrated what it means to be a partner,” said Goodwill’s President and CEO, Don Johnson. “Supporting our community requires a team effort. We rely on your donations and funding from partner organizations like the United Way. This support allows us to provide much needed services to the people of Central Illinois.”
Goodwill offers job placement assistance, contact with local employers, resume building, digital skills training, veteran support services, and operates a 15-bedroom veterans’ home. In addition, youth mentoring and youth services are available. Goodwill employs more than 300 people throughout Central Illinois.
