COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF CENTRAL ILLINOIS AWARDS GRANT TO GOODWILL
Goodwill of Central Illinois has received a $15,000 Community Impact Fund Grant from the Community Foundation of Central Illinois.
The grant will be used to provide support to unemployed, under employed, and dislocated workers. This support can take the form of work clothing, uniforms, boots, tools, transportation costs, and more. The goal is to remove barriers that job seekers may face.
“These funds add even more to our free services,” said Goodwill President and CEO, Don Johnson. “Thank you to Mark Roberts and everyone at CFCI for assisting us while we assist our community.
Goodwill’s free programs are possible through the sale of your donated items. Goodwill Industries of Central Illinois serves 21 counties within Central Illinois. Goodwill offers employment services, veterans’ support services, a youth mentoring program, and operates a 15-room veterans’ home.
