COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF CENTRAL ILLINOIS AWARDS GRANT TO GOODWILL
Goodwill of Central Illinois has received a $15,000 Community Impact Fund Grant from the Community Foundation of Central Illinois.
The grant will be used to provide client-specific assistance to unemployed, under employed and dislocated workers. These funds allow Goodwill to provide work clothing, uniforms, boots, tools, transportation costs and more to individuals who are starting a new job.
“These funds add to the services that we provide to our clients,” said Goodwill President and CEO, Don Johnson. “Thank you to Mark Roberts and everyone at CFCI for assisting us in supporting our community.”
Goodwill’s free programs are possible through the sale of your donated items. Goodwill Industries of Central Illinois serves 21 counties within Central Illinois. Goodwill offers employment services, veterans’ support services, a youth mentoring program and operates a 15-room veterans’ home. For more information visit www.goodwillpeo.org.
